Project Description
Educational Materials Distribution Program
Date: 16th July, 2026
Venue: Shree National Basic School, Bharatpur-25, Bayarghari, Chitwan
As part of its continued commitment to Basic Education and Literacy, the Rotary Club of Chitwan successfully organized an Educational Materials Distribution Program at Shree National Basic School, Bharatpur-25, Bayarghari, Chitwan.
Education is one of Rotary's seven Areas of Focus because it has the power to transform lives, strengthen communities, and create opportunities for future generations. Investing in children's education is not merely providing school supplies—it is investing in knowledge, confidence, and the long-term development of society.
This initiative was specially designed to support Early Literacy and Reading Promotion, recognizing that the early years of learning are the foundation for lifelong education. Developing literacy skills during childhood helps students build confidence in reading, improve communication abilities, strengthen critical thinking, and foster a love for learning. Early exposure to books, writing materials, and educational resources also enhances letter recognition, vocabulary development, reading readiness, and overall cognitive growth, enabling children to perform better throughout their educational journey.
During the program, all 96 students from L.K.G. to Grade Five received essential educational materials free of charge. The distributed materials are expected to encourage regular classroom participation, improve learning experiences, and motivate children to develop positive reading habits from an early age. By ensuring that every child has access to basic learning resources, the program aims to remove small but significant barriers that can affect educational progress.
The Rotary Club of Chitwan believes that every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and achieve their full potential regardless of their economic background. Through initiatives like this, the club continues to promote inclusive and quality education while contributing to stronger and more resilient communities. When children are equipped with the right educational tools and encouragement during their formative years, the benefits extend far beyond the classroom—creating informed citizens, empowered families, and sustainable community development. #Create Lasting Impact
"Education is the foundation of hope, and literacy is the key that unlocks every child's potential.
