Free Children's Cardiac Screening Camp

As part of its commitment to improving children's health, the Rotary Club of Chitwan successfully organized a Free Cardiac Screening Camp for students of Shree Teenkanya Basic School in Bulingtar-4, Chuliboja, Nawalparasi.
The health camp was conducted with the technical support of Rotary Pun Narayan Ujelidevi Cardio Care Center and Chitwan Medical College (CMC). Cardiologists Dr. Ajit Kumar Mishra and Dr. Ravi Rokaya examined the hearts of all 55 students enrolled at the school.
The primary objective of the programme was the early detection of congenital and other heart-related conditions among school children. Identifying cardiac problems at an early stage allows timely medical intervention, appropriate referrals, and better long-term health outcomes. The camp also provided parents, teachers and students with valuable awareness about children's heart health.
Rotary Club of Chitwan believes that preventive healthcare and early diagnosis are essential to ensuring every child has the opportunity to live a healthy and productive life. Through this initiative, the club continues its commitment to creating healthier communities by bringing specialised healthcare services to underserved rural areas.
The programme was attended by Rotary Club of Chitwan President Gehendra Man Shrestha, Ward Chairperson Min Bahadur Ale, school representatives, Rotary members and local community leaders.
