Rotary Club of Himalayan Golfers, District 3292, supported a
Free Cataract Surgery and Comprehensive Eye Screening
Program organized by Thakre Rural Municipality Ward No. 6,
in coordination with Child Development Program Nepal,
Dhading in presence of the President of RCHG Rtn. Aarti RL
Rana, Rtn. Hema Shrestha and Rtn. Rachana Yadav. Matrika
Eye Center, Old Baneshwor, provided technical support, with
joint support from ARYA Pharmalab Pvt. Ltd.
Two community eye screening camps, at Janajagriti Secondary
School and Simle Mahakali Secondary School, reached 659
patients through eye examinations, vision assessments,
counseling, and free medicine distribution. Of these, 126 were
identified as needing cataract surgery, and on July 18, 2026, 62
received free surgery, restoring their vision.
