Project Description
Rotary Club of Patan South marked the beginning of its Rota Year 2026–27 service project with successful completion of the first service project with a tree plantation program at Sahid Park, Jagadol, Gokarneshwar Municipality. A total of 110 trees were planted in support of Rotary District 3292's goal of planting 100,000 trees and the celebration of Tree Plantation Week (July 26–August 1) The plantation began with Charter Member Rtn. Shiva Bahadur Nepali Pradhan and Club President Rtn. Ajay Kumar K.C. planting the first saplings. The Chairperson of Sahid Park also joined the event, reflecting the strong partnership between Rotary and the local community. The Rotary Club of Saibhu Bhaisepati generously provided these 110 saplings, demonstrating the spirit of fellowship and collaboration among Rotary clubs. Ten members of the club, including the President, five Past Presidents, President Nominee, Secretary, Treasurer, Executive Secretary, and a Rotaract representative participated the plantation program. Their active participation made the program a meaningful start to RI aim of creating lasting impact in the community. Through this initiative, the Rotary Club of Patan South reaffirmed its dedication to protecting the environment and contributing to a greener, healthier future while advancing the district's ambitious tree plantation campaign and ambition of creating lasting impact.
