Project Description
Birtamode, Jhapa – July 28, 2026:
Rotary Club of Birtamode successfully organized its Fourth Program, which also marked the club’s third major plantation drive, at Shanti Samudayik Ban, Arjundhara.
The program was organized as part of the District-Wide Plantation Campaign initiated by Rotary District 3292, under which a nationwide campaign was conducted from July 27 to 31, 2026, with the ambitious goal of planting 100,000 saplings across the country.
As part of this campaign, Rotary Club of Birtamode, in association with Rotary Club of Kakadvitta, Rotary Club of Mechinagar, Rotary Club of Bhadrapur, Rotary Club of Surunga, Rotaract Club of Birtamode, and Arjundhara Municipality, successfully planted approximately 1,500 saplings at Shanti Samudayik Ban, Arjundhara.
The program was graced by Mr. Baldev Gomden Tamang, Mayor of Arjundhara Municipality, as the Chief Guest. Representatives from Rotary clubs, Rotaract Club of Birtamode, Arjundhara Municipality, Shanti Samudayik Ban Samiti, Rotarians, Rotaractors, and other community members actively participated in the plantation drive.
The plantation program reflects Rotary’s commitment to environmental conservation, sustainable development, and community service. The initiative aims not only to increase green coverage but also to inspire the local community to take collective responsibility for protecting the environment and creating a greener and healthier future for generations to come.
The event concluded with a breakfast gathering, fostering fellowship and strengthening collaboration among Rotary members, partner organizations, and the local community.
