Tree Plantation

We proudly joined the Rotary Club of Budhanilkantha and Rotary Club of Kathmandu Metro in a tree plantation initiative along the Dhobikhola Corridor, from Sapredhunga Chowk to Bhadrakali Temple, Budhanilkantha, on August 1, 2026.
As part of this initiative, we planted 250 Jacaranda trees on both sides of the corridor. This project aims to contribute to a greener, cleaner, and more beautiful urban environment while promoting environmental awareness, community participation, and sustainable urban development.
This is not a one-time initiative. We have been carrying out tree plantation and environmental activities along this corridor for the past three years, with plantation programs conducted twice every year. Through this continued effort, we are gradually transforming the corridor into a green and attractive public space.
We are now planning to develop this stretch as a “Rotary Street”—a distinctive green corridor and Rotary landmark that reflects Rotary’s commitment to Service Above Self, environmental sustainability, and community development.
The vision of the Rotary Street is to create a long-lasting environmental legacy for the community. With continued plantation, regular maintenance, community engagement, and appropriate Rotary identification and signage, this corridor can become a model of sustainable urban greening and a visible symbol of Rotary’s service to the community.
This initiative is therefore envisioned not merely as a tree plantation program, but as a long-term Rotary environmental project dedicated to creating a beautiful, sustainable, and identifiable Rotary Landmark for present and future generations.
