Project Description
The Rotary Club of Patan, in collaboration with Radio Sagarmatha FM 102.4, continues its “Women in Rotary (Mahila Sanga Rotary)” radio programme, which highlights the inspiring achievements, life journeys, challenges, and contributions of women in society.
The 5th episode features an inspiring conversation with Ms. Rita Shakya, a remarkable woman living with a physical disability affecting the use of both her legs. Despite the challenges she has faced, she has demonstrated tremendous courage, determination, and a strong commitment to serving others.
Her inspiring journey conveys a powerful message that with family support, self-confidence, determination, and courage, one can overcome challenges and live a meaningful and dignified life, regardless of societal perceptions or limitations.
Through such stories, the programme aims to inspire women and the wider community by showcasing resilience, strength, and positive contributions to society.
The programme records two episodes every month, and each episode is broadcast several times during the month. One regular broadcast is every Monday from 7:30 AM to 8:00 AM on Radio Sagarmatha FM 102.4.
The “Women in Rotary” programme is a joint initiative of the Rotary Club of Patan and Radio Sagarmatha, providing a platform to share inspiring stories and journeys of women with the community.
