Tree Plantation – Chapter 3 at Kyonjomsom, Bhardev

The Rotary Club of Patan Durbar Square continued its environmental conservation initiative with Chapter 3 of the Tree Plantation Program at Kyonjomsom, Bhardev, marking the second consecutive year of plantation activities at the same location.
The program was conducted in collaboration with the Kyonjomsom Committee and local community members of Bhardev, whose participation and support contributed significantly to the success of the activity. Their involvement strengthened community ownership and encouraged continued care for the plantation site.
As part of the program, Rotarians revisited the plantation area to monitor the trees planted last year. It was encouraging to see that the previously planted trees are growing well, demonstrating the importance of regular care, follow-up, and cooperation with local stakeholders.
This year, the team planted Dhupi, Kapoor, and various other tree species to increase green cover, promote biodiversity, and contribute to the long-term environmental sustainability of the area.
