Tree Plantation

A major community-led tree plantation drive was successfully concluded in Godawari-09, Thulo Pokhari, aiming to revitalize local degraded slopes and protect vital watershed areas.

The initiative focuses on integrating climate-resilient agroforestry with native ecological restoration. Planted species include a mix of fodder trees, high-value local and indigenous broadleaved canopy plants designed to reinforce soil stability during heavy monsoons.

• Coverage Area: Approximately 15 ropanis of communal and private marginal land.
• Survival Rate Target: 80% expected survival through community-managed weekly watering and seasonal organic manuring.

• Funding Source: 100% funded by Rotary Club of Gongabu.
